I picked up a 74 450SL ( cheap) $500.00 with bad motor i put in new motor . i would like to know if i can use you microsquirt V3 on it i just need to control fuel. the fuel right now is controled by the ecm but also by the trigger points in the dist. there are 4 points in the lower part of the dizzy . and one set of points to fire the coil. each points in lower dizzy control 2 injet. there are timed lobes on lower part of dizzy. sorry for going over this long but alot of people have not seen or know of this. If it's got an electronic tach then it's got the signal required to control injectors. Otherwise the coil signal could be used through the opto circuit to do so. I believe there is an example in the Microsquirt documentation that is a points distributor/injectors combo.

UPDATE. not runing the MICROSQUIRT . it is for high impedance injectors.i did not use the drop down resistors. i got a megasquirt and it can be set for high or low impedance. but i will use the microsquirt latter on something . i still have to build a dizzy for itso right now i am useing fuel only setup. right now i have just O2 and the map hooked up . i have to make a FORD or a GM TPS to fit on it. but still it runs good and it is easy to hook up .maybe at a latter date i will put on a M65 supercharger not for the power . just for the looks. stock the car will run all day long at 130 to 150 MPH. down the autobahn.
