Yeeow just got everyone up from thier nap this afternoon hehe. Got her all hooked up, double checked everything and rolled it over and then BANG. Had the neighbors out after the second try. Guessin that the timing is out or do I have something crossed maybe the plug wires? just wondering need to hide for a while till my hearing comes back ;D

Yeah, that's typically a firing order issue (crossed up wires) though timing that is WAY off can do it from time to time.

I'll have to recheck the timing and wires. Got one more question, which wire to the vam should light up with a test light? Or do I need a meter because the voltage is to low to light up the test light. I know all stupid newbie question. thanks for the help.

The vam uses 5v, not 12v. They make 5v and 12v test lights but you really need a multimeter, not a test light to properly test any sensors.

check your cam angle too. ... last time i made my car backfire when it didn't start was when i had my cam angle out 180* degrees... ( wrong stroke...thought it was on the exhaust stroke when i was lining it up at TDC... but turned out it was the intake stroke...) so check this as well.

OK so it felt like it had a miss. Put new plugs and wires because they where needed, also changed the O2 for good measure, cap and rotor already changed. 1/2/3 are hot to the touch, 4 is ice cold. Any thoughts? Fouled injector, seems like no fuel, or might it not be firing number 4? got to dark and had to put the kids to bed so didnt have time to investigate further. I know it probably sounds archaic touching the manifold but I have a KZ900 project going on at the same time so I'm kinda use to touching hot headers to see if a cylinder is firing. ;D thanks again

Just put a timing light on the #4 wire to check for spark, then if it's sparking pull the plug and see if it's wet with fuel.

Got fire to all the plugs and have power to the injectors. So should I swap injectors to see if thats the problem? Or is it just a bad injector.

What did the plug look like?
Move the #4 injector to another cylinder and see if the problem moves with it.

Well moved #4 to #1 same thing #1 ice cold, so can I up grade to lager injectors and still run the factory tune? I know it won't use the higher #hr just as long as the ohm ratings the same.

You can't run larger injectors without a way to tune the ecu so it knows the injectors are larger (chip or standalone ecu).

Alright, so now just had a 2.5" exhaust/ turbo muff all the way out the back done today. Sounds good on idle but as soon as I move the throttle it stumbles. It started that after I found that the tbird ic was lose on the turbo side, which probably happened after 7000 rpm hole shot, thought that the pass tire was gone come rippin off my one legger ;D Which happen after I installed the fresh injector it had been needing. So did I possibly damage the VAM door senor from the high revs, because it started after I fixed the boost leak. If I hold throttle at 2000 it will fall off (stumbles) to around 750 then back 2000, could you please point me in the right direction. Man I had a small taste of what its should be capable of and now I need some more.

Scan for codes and look for boost/vac leaks. FYI you can only get 6500rpm out of the stock ecu before you hit the rev limiter
