Will porting the cold side outlet on a t3 from a 85 T-bird have any positive results or is it a waste of time.

It doesn't hurt but I wouldn't expect any outstanding results. I like to port everything I can hoping all the little gains add up in the end.

Like you, I like to look for every small detail to improve the output. I plan on installing a fmic in the near future with 2.5 inch pipe. I hope to use a 2" bolt on 90 at the turbo. I would think that the transition from 2" to 2.5 would flow better than the pinhole that it has now. I have not measured the dia of the outlet yet, but just by looking I would guess that it measures 1.5 to 1.750. Does that sound about right? Jerry

Yeah, it's about 1.5". I put a "bellmouth" on mine back in the day for the same reason.
