Sure is bike weather! I ride a specialized rock hopper! (It's a bicycle, I imagine you are talking about a motorcycle)

Yep the heater AND a/c are all gone! I have a couple sweaters and hoodies I will be dusting off in January! I do have a full body freezer suit from my last job. They bought us all a really nice set!

So I found the keys. I suspected they may have been in between the plastics and the body where the gas filler tube is because I was in there trying to push out a dent last weekend. I unbolted the latch to the hatch and found them sitting on top of the tail lights!
I am still getting problems from the grounding strap when trying to start it, but after I got it running I took it out for a long trip of curvy roads. damn the new sub frame connectors make such a huge difference in the feel of the car when turning! This has to be one of my favorite mods yet. It's so fun to drive now it's got me thinking of putting an IRS from a Cobra under it. I may be selling the drag wheels and skinnies soon to help pay for that.
and for the 65lb injectors, I'm waiting for my lap top to be repaired so I can tune for them, I'm going to go ahead and get those in and tuned to see what difference more boost can make. There is a local shop that does a lot of turbo 4 cyl cars and have a guy that is very familiar with MS programs, I'm going to try to work a deal for some dyno time to let him see the tuner studios set up. He seemed very interested when I told him about it.

Sounds like a plan.
He must not be "familiar" with tuning MS systems if he's never messed with Tunerstudio...it's been out for years.

Maybe so. I am just trying to work an angle for free dyno time to let him view the software. It was either TS or the VE live that he liked... no matter. I'll show him both if it's going to get my car strapped down!

So I got the laptop repaired, there was a software problem. Picked it up yesterday afternoon, and today I loaded the Tunerstudio program onto it, I shut it down because I was having problems with internet connection and was going to use the netbook I have to download the correct drives to run Javascript, when I restarted the laptop the brand friggin new hard drive crashed... I'm a little pissed right now to say the least. I ordered another laptop from the same people as last time. Hopefully it won't be forever getting here so I can start driving it like it should be driven.

Glad to hear the car is running good. Good luck with the lap top. Every time I touch one I seem to mess it up. Next summer if both our cars are running real Good we should go to a car show some where around Destin ( about half way between Houston and Orlando, I think). I here good things about that beach in the summer time.

I've been to vacation in Destin several years growing up, and it's really nice! I'd be happy to drive it up there for a cruise in. It's about 8 hours from both of us.

Since I shaved the door handles on the outside, I've been trying to figure a way to make my own door latch actuator buttons. For now there is just the rod sticking out through the old hole where the lock pin used to be. I just push that down and it opens. I need a way to put a button on top of that and a spring that will push the button back in place when released.
Looking on line for door poppers and they all seem to be closed in the bottom, I need one that's open to run the door rod through. You guys have any ideas on how to build something that will work? I was looking through Home Depot today but didn't find anything that struck me as usefull.

I have something going that might work for the doors. If/when it happens I'll share the results. Nevermind the colors, I've got a vinyl dye kit on order now to change the blue to gray They were cheap for the pair so I got them this morning from a guy way out West Colonial.

Cut out the old metal where the window glass used to pass through the door. Then I tacked in (very slow and tedious...) This bit of sheet metal to fill the gap Now I'm grinding down all the splatter and welds. When it's all said and done, I plan to have the entire window frame closed in like this and painted. It's taking a very long time because my grinder is a battery powered one, and so is the side cutter... so yesterday after the two batteries went dead while cutting, I had to hack saw it out the rest of the way, and then use an old ass metal file to knock down the little bumps and hills left from that. If it keeps up at this pace, and I work on it daily it will be next week before i finish...
