Hey everyone, Its been a year or two since I sold my last 2.3t set up. And Ive been wanting to do one again since they are fun little engines. But if I'm doing another its gonna be all out for the most part. Here is a little list of what I will have. 2.5 short block from racerwalsh twin scroll header from BO-port Alum head stage 3 + cam from BO-port Stinger F.M.I.C 96# injectors
Ive heard great things about the Esslinger Arca head and the Bo-port head, anyone know which one is better? Also any suggestions on what turbo / ecu i should run would be great.
My goals for the car, I would like to make 500 to 600hp preferably over 600. But I want it to be street able not a full blown drag car. Also are these numbers possible without running race gas or meth and just on pump gas? Thank you

The ARCA head isn't really something you'd compare with a ported iron head since it uses different intake/exhaust port locations, bolt patterns, etc. With that said, the ARCA (especially when ported by Bo) is as good as it gets and is the only chance in hell of making that kind of power on pump gas (which is still unlikely). E85 is pump gas though and would support that kind of hp.

I was talking about the Bo-port alum head they have. Not sure how that one is. As for the E85, i could run that but am more interested in just pump gas. What are good/ likely numbers for my set up on pump gas. Also what would you suggest for turbo / ECU. Thanks Stinger

The aluminum head package Bo sells is an Esslinger D-port head that's ported by Bo. It's what's on my SVO. They flow around 235cfm which is about 5cfm more than the Stg 3 iron head from Bo (which is on our Project Bolt-On car). Both of these heads perform similarly and would be limited to somewhere around 420rwhp on pump gas. The ARCA in ported for should support up to about 500rwhp on pump gas because it flows around 285cfm.
You'll need something like a Garrett GT35 or Precision SC6262.
I think our soon to be released ECU would be a good match...

Thanks Stinger, yeah those were the turbos I had in mind. Someone said they wouldn't suggest the SC6262 for the street. Never said why though... This car is mainly just going to be a nasty street machine with some track use. Love to just get as much as possible just out of pump gas to really show people what they can achieve. Although I'm sure with in time I will want more and switch to e85 or meth or maybe throw some nitrous at her haha. I would love to try your new ECU you have coming out. I'm in no hurry though. The car is still being redone at the moment. Gonna have to start doing some before and after pictures for all to see.
What is the latest on Bolt on Project? Is the thread up to date or any new track times or mods?

A 6262 on the street would be ok on the street with an ARCA head and large cam. It would still be a 4000-8000 rpm engine.

What is the latest on Bolt on Project? Is the thread up to date or any new track times or mods? There is no drivetrain in the car. The new shortblock (filled block, cp pistons, crower rods, etc. 95% of the new trans setup is purchased (Doug Nash 5 speed with slipper clutch). Need to finish the new portions of the cage, get it certified, repaint the car, and start making shakedown runs.
