Does it take much to put a T3 from an 89 Merkur on an 88TC motor??

Its not too bad as long as you have all the parts from the merk. The turbo outlet housing is probably the most important.
You'll also have to finagle the compressor housing. I grab the tube thats bolted to the merk when I run a T3. You cut the tube a few inches over the bolted section then take a cut off wheel and make a groove or two all the way around. That gives the hose connection something to hold onto.
Its slipping my mind for whether the Merks used a water cooled turbo. If not you'll have to block the coolant hoses or route them together.
Side note: I highly suggest knocking the oxygen sensor loose while the ihi is bolted up. Then do swap once the T3 is in place.

Remember the oil lines are different also, as well as the spacing of the outlet flange bolts where the downpipe bolts on. This is only a problem if you are still using the stock downpipe. Our downpipe works with both of them.
