Ive got a 1989 Bayliner Capri with a 2.3 in it and have been thinking about how hard it would be to turbo it. The motor is carbed and the manifold is completely different than a car motor because of the boat exhaust system i suppose.
How difficult would it be to turbo this motor or is it even possible?
Thanks Tyler

The exhaust manifold in the boat is water cooled (has water running through it).
Aside from that, boats are ran MUCH harder than cars (think about all of that wide open max rpm running across the water you do). Also, getting the heat out from under the engine cover would be very important and quite difficult.

Ha but as long as it busted a head gasket before the boat caught on fire think of this.... imagine how fast we could swap those head gaskets lol
