Well, now that it's running, I figured I could post up on here about it. It started back in March 2010 when I parked the car on hill and it rolled away due to excessively worn rings.
The turbo motor swap was done before I bought it back in 2006 from a buddy of mine back in Kentucky. I had put a Volvo IC and T3 on it with Stingers kit then turned the boost up to 18lbs and tons of fun! Until I started noticing a loss of power and the rolling away from me incident I thought everything was good.
Tore the engine down to do a basic rebuild and suddenly had visons of grandure as I found out I was deploying shortly after. The car sat for at least a year while I saved money and procured parts, I eventually ran out of money and it was back on hold again.
I deployed again in 2011 and this gave me all the funds I needed to finish it. Now I have .20 over 88 TC block and crank, Boport stg 1 port and polish with a 1.9 cam. Crower Sportsman rods with CP pistons/rings. Bob's centermount log with a custom WG mount. Holset HX35(16cm housing), 3" exhaust, 72lb injectors, ported lower, gutted and rotated upper, 94 Mustang t-body. 3" cold side piping and FMIC. Mustang GT running gear, tubular k-member, front coil-overs, 5.0 2.97 1stgear trans with an adapter plate from Canfield, Centerforce clutch. Still working through some electrical issues and tuning my PiMP, but overall I'm happy with the finished product. Down the road I will get the car painted...
I haven't taken as many pictures as I wanted throughout the rebuild but what can you do... below is the link to my album.
