i bumped up the timing a degree and half out of boost to give her a little more go since i feel like the timing is a little less on scotts base tune compared to the lb3 before. last two nights i checked to see if its been getting hot and it is a little red after normal driving. i put it back down to stock for now.
how're you guys posting the datalogs? lol i searched but cant find it. i want to see what you guys think.

You click "reply" and then "browse" and then find the datalog you want to post and attach it. The tune also needs to be attached.

In on my phone currently , but I'll get it up here later .
Does anyone know what a normal manifold temp is for an e6. Is It true its normal for a glow at night? Ill drive it soft and if still glows

It shouldn't glow during "easy" driving at low to moderate speeds. It may have a mild glow when driving down the highway at 70+mph, particularly if there are hills involved. It should never be bright orange just driving around.

i did change my tune compared to this one because of the glow. im sitting a little richer (13-14.7:1) and about 2 degrees less ignition timing then the stock tune. every adjustment i made trying to shake the glow didnt help.
im going to get a shorter log because my files are too big.

Oh my bad, that is the current tune i am running on. most of the upper part of the table is untuned. i only tuned up to 5lbs at around 4500 so far.

I see he's still sending out my old fuel table from years ago lol. I'll need to see a log.
Was this setup running before the ECU swap or were other changes made at the same time that could effect cam or ignition timing?
Have you verified that commanded timing = actual timing via a timing light?

It was running before on an LB3. just swapped it out one night with no other changes. i do have the cam adavanced 4 degrees.
and as for commanded to actual timing i cant check it. my crappy stock cover was toast and i had to just rip it off. i got my mc machine one in the mail the other day i just dont have the time till tomorrow.
today at work i borrowed one of those laser temp guns and got 837 f. at the turbine housing the hottest spot. the mani itself was 500-700f. that was after a normal drive no boost but you can really hear the turbo cause it spools almost too easy

Without verifying timing, there is no use speculating what the cause is (as a mismatch in commanded vs actual timing is most likely). Report back with your findings on timing.

I think that did the trick. it was at ten when i went to fixed timing. i havent got to drive it and see if that stopped the glow but it was retarded a whole 10 degrees
