First I want to thank Stinger for a great ECU package you have developed! The set up and start up guide are very straight forward!
I thought I would go ahead and share a project car that my Dad has been working on! This car has been with us since '97 and he's the second owner.
This car was a everyday driver for years and then became an "alternative fox" project car starting with converting to a basically stock HO 5.0 and Mass Air from an '89 GT with headers and H pipe. A while later heads from Aeroheads, tubular GT-40 intake, Turbo Coupe rearend with 3.73s and disc brakes, a built AOD with a higher stall convertor, "A" servo and Baumann shift.
That flew for a couple years and in the mean time a coast 347 with Pro-comp 2.02 heads, Comp XR282 cam with their roller rockers and rocker girdles, Trick flow intake, 75mm TB, Delphi 36LB injectors with Pro-M MAF, catless X-pipe and flow masters etc etc etc. was being built. Eventually the engine was installed and has very good power and moves the car around well considering it's quite a bit heavier then a Fox stang!
The car is great but one thing that is giving us fits is that the more modded the car has become the less driveable it also has become. With all of the proven tips, tricks, parts replacement and voodoo that has been used from all forums and has been tried, the problems from partial tip in stumble, pinging, a steady idle under 1k and just poor all around driveabilty has lead us to giving Stinger a try. We Have the PiMP xs system and as of this writing the installation as been great. We are close to hitting the key and are very confident this will perform better then the tired A9P!
