Here is what I've gathered for which Ranger/Explorer radiators are almost "bolt in" for use in Mustangs/TC's with front mount intercoolers:
Basically, you need one with a core that is ~18" x 18" and either 1" or 2 1/4" thick. I use the 1" cores and they cool find in my 100ยบ+ summers.
I think they came from: Ford Ranger 1985-1988 with 2.0L engines. Ford Ranger 1985-1994 with 2.3L engines. Mazda B2300 1994 with 2.3L engine.
I believe you'll also find them in: 1990-1994 Ford Explorer 4.0 1991-1994 Mazda B4000 and Navajo 4.0
I used a fan from a late 80's to mid 90's GM midsize/small car. They all run basically the same fan in the sunbird, lumina, grand am, etc.

Yes, by about 6", for this particular intercooler (or any intercooler that requires running the tubes between the radiator tank and the radiator supports on both sides of the chassis).
