On my setup will it be okay to remove the factor fuel damper? Will it cause any issues, or is it recommended to keep it in place?

It's OK to remove it if it's leaking or causing issues in some way. Don't remove it for no reason though as it does serve a purpose.

The damper itself is not leaking. I have had some leaking problems with it on the old setup, (from the short line that runs from the damper to the rail. ) Looks like the push lock fitting/o ring are old and worn. I removed the damper/bracket and just plugged in the lines to the rail since they were long enough since I remembered having an on and off leak issue with the push lock fitting.

I haven’t had much luck finding o rings to replace on the push lock fitting, although I wasn’t really expecting to find anything. Sucks because Since there is nothing wrong with the damper itself, I would like to use it since it is there for a reason, like you said. Also, does the damper out of the system have any impact on fuel pressure at the rail?

Its job is to soften the blow the batch fire injectors have on the fuel pressure as they all open and then the pressure dips momentarily. You should be able to find a fuel line repair kit in the little help section of part stores that has the correct fittings. I think they're called the duckbill fittings
