Well I got my motor in and running but I have a problem with it below 3000rpms/no boost the car stutters and hiccups doesn't backfire. It's very hard to get above 3000rpms in first and second gears. I'm not running an o2 sensor right now and my temp sensor isn't working (I'm not getting a reading on my gauge). I think I'm running rich but thought I would ask and see if anyone had any ideas.

There are two different temp guages, one for the ECU and one for the guage, Is the one to the ECU hooked up, It will be a yellow and green wire pluged into a sensor in one of the water jackets on the driver side of the engine
Also your TPS is probably adjusted wrong. Causing it to send more fuel causign it to run rich. Should be at .94 i believe.
One of the biggest /noticable differences in my car was when i cleaned the VAM, so you may want to try that aswell.

TPS isn't the problem just set it at .94 two days ago.
also is the plug in for the sensor I plugged in the one on my heater core hose.
I'll clean the vam and see what that does what should I clean it with?

I know the VAM isn't bad or it wouldn't run I'm just wondering how and how not to clean it.

Actually it will run without the vam plugged in most of the time so that assumption isn't correct. Cleaning it isn't going to do much for you anyway unless it's packed full of sludge or something.

I would still check that VAM out just to be sure it is OK. And make sure TPS sensor has a nice smooth voltage sweep too. If your plugs/wires/cap/rotor are not in good shape that will cause problems too. Doing a boost leak check and pulling codes might find a problem too.

Ok the VAM is good the TPS is good and I have replaced and gaped the plugs, cap, and rotor within the last 900miles and the Wires I replaced today the problem has lessened but isn't perfect. Pulled codes and I got an ect code fixed it erased codes checked again and it didn't come up so any ideas. By the way it is rich as crap and missing but the two problems are not related I'm just trying to figure out why it's missing.
