Thinking on getting the stinger ported upper and lower, was wondering what the "typical" gains are?? When I order it (paying core keeping old one) how long will it take to get??
What is the point/advantage of a rotated upper??
Can I run a 5.0L 65 mm TB as I have a spare ? what will be needed to be done to throttle cable if anything??
Thank you !!

Typical is hard to quantify. Gains are greater the more airflow mods you have (porting, cam, turbo, etc.). Gutting the upper raises the RPM peak if there is a cam installed that can take advantage of the shorter intake runners.
Rotating is not a performance thing, it's purely for looks and/or to shorten the intercooler tubing and/or to make it easier to work on the engine.
94-95 5.0 TB, yes. Fox style puts the IAC on top of the throttle body and then it's too tall.

I figured it was cosmetic/pipe length but wanted to be sure. I hate to buy a SN style when I have 3 fox styles but I will if that is what is needed lol Maybe I will throw a spare cowl hood on to clear fox IAC lol What are the TB options for the 2.3T ? Reason Im hell bent on TB is mine has some "issues" Its closes ok, does not SNAP shut like "new" but there is some slop. NO cable attached you can wiggle it a good bit. I think its causing a TPS reading issue which I THINK has a ton to do with my driveability and idle issues. 0% TPS idles pretty good. tap the pedal few times and I can get anything from -.08% to +2% at idle after that. tap pedal few times and get a new number at idle. Same thing happen if I rest the TPS in TS my closed throttle can be anywhere from like 168 to 196 and WOT can be 940 to 980. I was thinking just TPS sensor until I noticed the massive slop in it.

The SN95 TB is the most popular 2.3 upgrade by a long shot because it's easiest, newer, and larger. If you have a cowl hood and a non-rotated intake then you can run a Fox style TB.
