Hello I’ve been getting this code recently p14 and making the car buck when idling and that’s only sometimes. I’ll just turn it off let it sit for a couple of minutes and restart with no issues. I’ve researched and it has something to do with ignition pick up was erratic. Could this be a ignition pick up going bad? Any one had this issue before.

It would make me suspect the PIP, or faulty wiring that's temporarily losing connection when the engine is shaking.

I just today revived new pip and installed it. As I started the engine to set timing and achieved timing at 10 tdc the car starting acting up again after2 min. Remind you I cleared code (hopefully)before starting engine. Rescanned and p14 pop up again. Possible bad part or harness maybe. I haven’t checked for broken wires ?

Parts can certainly be bad out of the box but I'd suspect wiring.

Shannon are you saying wiring at TFI connection harness? The wires are looking bent and folded at the TFI harness. Can you refer me to a dealer who sells tfi harness?

You need to test/diagnose the problem, not just throw parts at it. Do the wiggle test, do a visual inspection, etc.

So current to this I have a msd ignition box and out of curiosity I disconnected the box and just kept stock. The problem has gone away so it seems I had a bad ignition box or harness that connects to coil pack. Car is running normal and no more p14.

Failed MSD box is VERY typical so that's what I'd suspect at this point.
