I am curious what people have done for mounting the Engine Coolant Sensor (for the ECU, not the sending unit for the guages) in a situation where there is no heat or AC, and thus no heater hoses being run. As far as I can determine this sensor mounted on a fitting in the heater hoses in a mustang 2.3? Perhaps a fitting that can insert into a lower radiator hose? Looking for ideas... this is the last sensor I need to figure out for my Willys engine swap with the PIMPX.
thanks, Brian

Stock 2.3 turbo engines have them in the lower intake manifold in the center near the injectors. So use that if available.

Mine is a non-turbo from a '93. The only ports I have on the intake side are the temp sender for the gauges, and the oil pressure sender.

In the radiator hose is likely the easiest solution.

FWIW, I was able to get an Autometer adapter that inserts into the lower radiator hose with a 3/8" NPT port, to mount this sensor.
