I need to eliminate my proportioning valve to the rear brakes and am not sure which line it is, very hard to trace the lines all around. I noticed a line out the bottom of the master goes straight to the drivers front and the other two into the prop valve. Is one front proportioned and one not? Is it the front or rear line on the prop valve that i need to add a coupler in to by pass it? 1992 mustang. Is it 3/16 thread? Thanks much!

The line that goes across the firewall and then has a junction near the passenger side hood hinge goes to the rear.

Well i got that figured out and removed the prop valve completely and the front brakes are great but the rears still suck, hardly even work. I bleed the crap out of them but i don't think it's applying enough pressure to the rear? Why does one front line go into the prop valve and the driver side doesn't? Do i need an SVO master or do i have another isue?

My old 91LX had no rear brakes, I spent tons of time trying to figure it out. I had good pressure at the master cylinder, good pressure coming out of the prop valve, but virtually no fluid at the rear brakes (so little I could leave the line unhooked and it would go months before the master cylinder was low). I looked all over the lines for a dent, kink, etc. and never figured it out. Best I could tell there was an obstruction inside the line somewhere.

I'm getting good fluid out the rear calipers, when i open the bleeder to bleed them fluid sprays 18" out so that should not be a problem. I think i will try a SVO or 1994 master so it gets the correct pressure and volume. Thanks again!

Is it stock brakes? If not, the "MJBobbit" brake site gives you the "ideal" master cylinders for different brake combinations.

I ordered a SVO master and should have it tomorrow so i will try that one. From what i found it should work well.

That spot in the rear line where stinger mentioned is an Ideal spot for a manual portion valve.

Well i replaced my master with an SVO one that cost $17.35 and it works much better now. I can really feel the rear brakes working now and the pedal is touchy and the car stays flat on hard braking instead of nose diving. man does it move tons of fluid, i have never seen a master push so much fluid out when bleeding. I would highly suggest this to anyone doing a disc brake swap in the rear.

I put the turbo coupe rear axle in with newer 5 lug axles and brakes from a 1998 mustang i believe. My friend gave me the brackets and calipers and i think that's what they came from. I just left the fronts 4 lug for now but have the newer PBR like 1998 front discs to swap someday.
