This is a bit over played and I'm sure you get annoyed with it!! I'm just a little curious as to what I should be expecting so I know what I should get in terms of the car its self. I have, factory 84 svo(80 sum thousand mi.) Engine. Xs power center mount header(came free with engine). 3" exhaust all the way to axle. Front mount intercooler(about 24"x12"x3"?). Godspeed manual boost controller. Walbro 255 fuel pump. Kurban adjustable fp regulator. New motorcraft wires plugs and coil. Factory distributor with new cap/button. The factory replacement harness. Wideband sensor and gauge. Now, I have the money to either build the motor without needing internals and get some bits for the chassis or I could build with internals and just be easy until i have more for the chassis(not cheap as I'm going either irs or mm torque arm/PH bar and mm k member w/cobra spindles and coilovers). If I get the boport assembled stg3 head with 2.1,2.5,or stg3 cam, ported/gutted intake by either you or him, the 50 trim on the website, pimpx, and the fid 850 81lbs injectors, what would that setup make RUFFLY just based on parts and running 93 pump? Boost timing and afr can be delt with as needed. Was considering the 38mm WG you have and possibly an EBC but I'm not thinking those will have much effect on power, so they don't really mean much for the question. Other odds and ends not mentioned either, I.e. timing belt, adj. sprocket, catch can stuff like that.. I'm trying to stay away from e85 if possible to make around 400whp without it.. At that point I'd save a bit more and build it to shoot for the moon. Again played out i know, but thanks for everyones time!!

A stage 3 head/cam, ported intake, 50 trim setup will typically make around 400hp at around 20psi on pump gas. We had one a year or so a go that was all of those parts except a 2.5 cam and it made 384hp at 19psi on 91 octane. Would have likely made north of 400hp at the same boost on 93 octane.

Holly cow, i didn't expect any answer that fast! I'm still trying to look through the harnesses you guys sell to make sure it would work with the pimpx. I don't remember from when I bout it. Input?

We don't sell any 2.3 harness that won't work with a PiMPx. PiMPxs requires a harness wired for sequential injection (not stock) but that's just adding two injector wires into the EEC connector.

Yea I had read something along those lines on another discussion but then seen something about how it wouldn't work because 100 pin vs 60 pin or something. Just wanted to be sure. Also, if I get just the X and want to switch it to the XS little later, does the cost of having that done about even out to if I just bought the XS to begin with? I know 80lb and 400hp is about when its a decent idea to switch but if i don't have to as of yet I'll just have it converted when I get the rest of the car done and get bottom end parts. Would that be feasible?

OBD2 harnesses (96 and newer) are 100 pin but that's got nothing to do with this discussion.
Yes, only difference in cost is shipping it back and forth.
The PiMPxs can run in batch fire mode (like a PiMPx) as well so you can get the xs without committing to sequential right away.

Another thing i was wondering is will the stg 3 head/cam with stock bottom end create enough vacuum for the brake booster? Say i have all cobra or similar stuff, 93 booster and such.. Will it pull enough vacuum for that or should I be looking into hydro boost as well?

It will pull 7-10" of vacuum depending on cam timing and idle RPM targeted.

Greatly appreciate the info!! Still up in the air about irs or stick axle with a torque arm.. I'm honestly thinking it'd be cheaper to do just as good with a solid and not have to worry about wheel hop.

I can't help with that as I don't have any IRS Foxbody experience.
