I recently purchased an 84 SVO with an 86 Turbo Coupe engine. Just had the motor rebuilt and finishing up putting it back together, but I am missing the oil separator that is mounted to the block, and after a few days of searching I can't find one anywhere. So my question is, can anyone possibly point me somewhere I may be able to find one, or can I bypass the separator all together? Thanks

Dang, I wish I would have seen this a while ago. Are you talking about the thing that people generally call a "oil cooler" or "coolant warmer" that the oil filter threads on? If so, I have one if you still need it.

No, he's talking about the breather that vents the crankcase and connects to the PCV valve hose. Mounts right next to the oil cooler.

Shannon. Is there a trick to getting the separator to fit tight into the block? Every time I have removed one( such as when the block is rebuilt), they are a pain to get out but then they spin around when I re-install them.

It's a press fit so if it's loose, it shrunk/wore out the OD when removing. A little RTV can tighten it up.
