howdy, ran into some large issues once i installed my new turbo... i have an 88 tc and i upgraded the turbo to a stage 1 unit from bigr motorsports, got everything together and made a test hit, i don't think i have my wastegate actuator set correctly because in first gear the turbo would spool but the car would just fall on its face like it had no boost. now in second gear i rolled into it slowly and the thing took off so hard i was blown away! unfortunately when i tried it again i blew off the charge pipe and the head gasket along with it (bad girl has 287k on her). once i have it back together, how should i set the actuator and is there something i'm missing that would help with the driving issue in first. car also has kirbian, 255 and fmic

What actuator is it?
What spring pressure is it?
Does it have an adjustable actuator rod?

They all look similar so that doesn't help much.
Rod should have about 1/8" of preload on it.
Use a bicycle pump or regulated air compressor to pump up the air until the actuator opens fully. Note at what pressure the rod starts moving and at what pressure it's fully open. Report back with that info.
