all can say is wow! DO NOT i REPEAT DO NOT go buy a ripper or a pro 5.0 spend less then half as much and get something better. ive got a bit of time in on it now and love it.. a few off my buddies played with it and prefer it to their pro 5.0 or ripper. the price is unbeatable .. the machine work is amazing as is the blue anodized handle.. its a shame to put a stock shift knob on it. if i had to describe it in a few short words id say confidence inspiring hammer thru the gears with confidence as you wont be missing shifts again! stinger i gotta admit man it was the low price that turned me on to it.. but the low price also made me worried about quality. good job man.

Can you put a stock shift know and handle on it?
Does it rattle? Back in the days the aftermarket shifters would rattle as the drive train vibrated.

Yes, you can use the stock handle and knob.

I really like the shifter, it's VERY comparable to the B&M ripper in feel. The only problem I had with mine is I broke the handle in half, this could simply be because I shift like john force. Then again, i've broken solid hurst arms more than once shifting.
Dollar for dollar, it's a good shifter and an excellent replacement for the price of a B&M or Hurst.

unfortunaltely i had to use the stock knob for the time being. ive been looking around ill get a nice one .... i might make one .. who knows. either way great product.. the ripper doesnt come with the bolts for the stops or different springs.. to the best of my knowledge. the whole assembly looks to be very tuff im surprized you broke it.

it looks like i might have to get one of these... i was told that short shifters were not good for the trans is that true??

No, that's not true. They are much better for the trans because they have shifter stops that keep you from breaking shift forks, assuming you adjust them properly. Stock shifters don't have shift stops.
