Question about MS2 V3 build

I bought a built MS2 on the 3.0. board from a non-supplier.   I’m going over the build following the assembly guide and I can’t understand something that is not in the guide, and I’m hoping someone could help clarify. 

It appears the MS has being assembled for ignition timing control and setup for a VR Input.  What confuses me is, there is a a jumper wire that connects JS10 to OPTOOUT.   This is not covered in the guide and I can’t figure out why.  Does anyone know why the builder did this?

What is jumpered to Opto In?

Regardless of if it in intentional or not, remove it and jumper where needed for your build. Schematics are available online. I would also be suspect of the rest of the build.

Opto In is jumpered to SPR1 (canH)

I hear you, and that is my plan. I will be making some changes. I’ve gone through Megasquirts assembly guide and all of it makes sense, but this one jumper. And I am suspect of the build, but going through the guide and seeing how these are built is interesting to me. For what it’s worth, the soldering looks decent.
