Tomorrow I plan on starting the engine swap, and wondered whether the TC and Mustang motor mounts are the same or not. If not which should be used? The write ups didnt mention it so my assumption is that they are the same but wont be able to see them side by side till tomorrow
Wish me luck

They aren't the same design. I know the 83-86 TC mounts are dimensionally the same (but different design) so I'd assume the same is true for the 87-88 TC mounts. If not, run the Mustang mounts.

The mounts will be dependent on which k member you're using. If I remember correctly, you're sticking with the stock fox k member? If so, use the mustang motor mounts. The engine side of the mounts are the same between 83-86, 87-88 TC's, and Mustangs but the k member side is different between 83-86 TC's/Mustangs and 87-88 TCs. If you're looking for some aftermarket motor mounts, Heath over at 23parts.com makes some really nice units. I have bought two different sets from him and both are excellent

Thanks turbobird. First I have heard of 23parts, so will check them out. At this point none of the parts will be here in time so going to get the drivetrain all in place and running (fingers crossed) and then swap out stuff later.
