this is my 84 gt,has a bone stock head,block and intake,it has been 12.639 at 110 mph.it has a stinger fmic,header,38mm external watesgate,3 in. down pipe flowing through a full 3 in exhaust and a 3 in flowmaster muffler,has a lb3 ecm,35 lb injectors,big vam,50/50 water/meth injection,nitrous express wet kit with a small 35 hp of nos and a 75 hp on fuel side(to make up the smallish injectors for now)has complete aje k-member,tubular arms,lakewood 90/10 struts with coil overs,has a tko 600 tranny,spec aluminum 157 tooth flywheel with a stinger adapter plate, aluminum drive shaft,8.8 rear end with 33 spline moser axles, moser spool,389 rear gear,with diff girdle,adjustable upper/lower control arms,50/50 shocks with moroso trick springs,255 forced induction fuel pump,has summit brand pro stars with nitto drag radial(275/50/15)in rear and skinny bfg's in front,i am getting ready to put large injectors,mls head gasket,ported intake and a larger shot of nos to get into the 11.90's then going to larger turbo and a boport head,been doing big c.i ford v8's for years and gone alot faster than this but i tell you all this i love this lil 4 banger

Looks good. I wouldn't bother with the MLS gasket, they seem to rarely work on setups that don't have a near polish on the head and block surface (which is what the directions say they need). A standard gasket is fine as long as the deck is flat and you retorque after a heat cycle.
I suspect your valves are leaking severely if everything else is in check. It should be about 1 second/6-7 mph faster with those mods.
What's it run all the way down the track (60', 1/8 mile et/mph, etc)?
