stinger i want to buy a new exhaust for the mustang. I'm stuck on a single 3 all the way out the rear or the split system with either 2.5 or 3 tail pipes. i was told to stay with the single system with the turbo because it will make more power is this true? is the single system alot louder then the duel system?

There is no significant hp difference between them. It's mainly about your personal preference. 3" is cheaper, lighter, etc. but doesn't look as good. Duals are a bit more quiet, heavier, more expensive, but looks better.

I like the big single pipe of the 3". It's different than a 5.0 and it's dual tips.

Im going for a 3" pass side exit just in front of the tire. But my car is mainly for track use.

If your car is an original 2.3 LX you'll have to move the chassis to axle brake hose to get the passenger's side tail pipe to fit over the axle. At least that how it is on our '88 LX.

One more for pass side 3" single. I'll never run anything else no matter what. The biggest selling point by far is that you can pull the trans and never touch the exhaust.

As long as you use torctite clamps removing the exhaust is a 5 minute job and there is only a tailpipe available for the drivers side...
