Iam new to the turboed 2.3s i have a ranger that The engine is a 1984 ford thunderbird turbo coupe engine. I just had the motor completely rebuilt by professional.Have receipts to prove. Bored 30 over, polished the crank, New speed pro forged pistons, 8.32 to 1 compression, has ranger roller cam, head gone through, three angle valve job, new freeze plugs, new oil pump, new timing belt, all gaskets new of course, new billet aluminum fuel pressure regulator, new blaster coil, the block was cooked and cleaned, . Truck has cobra R wheels, fiberglass hood, tonneau cover, roll pan, six disc cd changer in console, 10inch sub behind seat, white face gauges, piller pod and auto meter gauges, truck has keyless enrty and alarm. This is a five speend truck.Has new clutch. It has an adjustable panard bar for traction and traction bars.Has drilled and slotted rotors. Interior is clean.The truck also has side exhaust that sounds awsome. All turbo noise with all this done i am wanting more out of the truck. What should i do the really open this trucl up and make it be a street strip ride iam wanting to be around high 10s low 11s in the quater

Nice truck.
I don't see any mods that increase hp in your list so you should start with all of the basics (FMIC, 3" mandrel exhaust, cone filter, adjustable boost valve, Walbro 255lph HP fuel pump, etc.).
Of course to run high 10's/low 11's you'll need over 400rwhp which requires quite a few more mods than I listed above (upgraded ecu, injectors, turbo, cam, head, exhaust manifold, etc). Our FAQ section has a mod list for that hp level and two of our project cars (my 85 SVO and Project Bolt On) both have 400+hp capable setups.

Hello stinger i have a 87 merkur 2.3 and im also new @ this. I have been collecting parts 4 some time now. I have the 255 fuel pump,3in exhaust all the way back,2.3 block that was stroked to the 2.5 crowler rods and wesco pistons,ported upper and lower intake,60lbs injector i got from u,spec stage 3 clutch from u, 3stage bo port head complete with cam, t5 with the cobra up grade done to it, im trying 2 be @ 385hp or better. Im also on the waiting list 4 the pimp, ported e6 header or manifold with a waste gate tube welded on it. I have a cheseey BOV that i think i need a better 1. tr8 intercooler by tread stone, the 1 piece drive shaft 5.0 one. What eles do u thing i need for this car? It has never ran yet wiating on the pimp.

HEY I GOT AN AJUSTALBE CAM GEAR AND CURIOUS HOW DO U SET MATING MARKS OR HOW DOES IT GO? DO YOU PUT IT IN THE SAME POTION AS A STOCK CAM GEAR (MATING MARK) OR KEY WAY @ THE TOP IN THE CENTER OF CAM?

I'm not really sure why you keep asking these questions in this other person's thread (or why you choose to do it as a guest rather than spend a minute and create a username) so you can start your own thread.
You need to match it up with the stock cam gear initially, that is 0 degrees.
