I got my Stinger FMIC in the other day. I noticed the insides of the piping (where it was cut) is quite sharp in spots. Should I attempt to file these down for optimal flow or will it even make that much of a difference?

It will help flow a bit to file/grind down those edges that the pipe cutter leaves in there.

I just used a heavy duty file and knocked down the little burrs, mostly to protect my fingers when putting the pipes on!

Yea. My fingers were my initial concern when I pulled it out of the wrapping.

i also like to take a pair of pliers and bend four or five points around the circumference outwards to bite against the silicone connector

5 sticthes and 1/4 of a toe later i relized how sharp they really are. had to laugh when i saw this post. thats what happens when you have parts all over the floor of your room waiting for install =/

Sorry to hear that!
I bought a deburring tool that is "supposed" to make it quick/easy to remove that sharp edge. The damn tool was over $350 so hopefully it works as advertised once it arrives.

I am assuming you did get that tool as my just received intercooler piping is very nice and smooth around the edges! Looks like a nice peice, now I have to decide if I want to paint the tubes or not |

Yeah, I did get the deburring tool and it does work, though it's kind of a PITA to use.
