1. With the stinger header, can I retain my a/c? 2. It looks like the turbo housing has to be rotated correct? And if so, does it just unbotl & spin, or need gaskets & modification? 3. I have gt ground effects, is there a tailpipe availible to mimic the 5.0 style(angled down to not melt)? 4. What is a "spun cat" and what are its advantages? 5. Does the external wastegate operate the same as the internal(i.e psi hose) and can I get a low spring psi version, as I am running an AEM boost controler? 6. Do you have a complete exhaust sans muffler deal for a 91? 7. What is a good muffler to run with a turbo? Thanks for your imput

I can't answer them all, but will get a couple
1. I don't know, had my ac off before I got the header, but I believe others are still running their a/c with it. Someone will have to confirm that 2. The housing will have to be clocked, or rotated, it just unbolts and spins, you don't have to take it all the way off, just loosen all 6 bolts and twist it to the desired location 3. I haven't seen those tailpipes on Stingers site, but I know they can be found very cheaply on different sites used, or a muffler shop could make them 4. Don't know 5. An external wastegate recieves pressure from the header and dumps air usually to atmosphere, or back into the exhaust after the turbo if you choose that route. The wastegates Stinger sells I believe come with a 12psi spring, so you will have to run minumum 12psi, and the boost controller will work with that to raise pressure as you see fit. 6. He does have a muffler delete pipe, should work fine on any fox 7. Personally I am going to be using a bullet race muffler, the best would probably be the least restrictive, straight through desing. But they are all pretty loud.
Hope this helps a little.

Thanks bob. I will run a muffler, its a dd. I wasn't sure if a turbo benifitted from a certain type muffler or not. I really hope it will work with a/c. mine is dealer installed, if that makes a difference. I have flowmaster am thunder gt style(from a 5.0, 2.5 I think) tailpipe on it now, so maybe it can stay?

I'm sure you can get the muffler to say somehow, but how is the exhaust ran now? Is that flowmaster a single in/dual out so the tail pipes fit the GT bumper correctly

It's a ghetto/spare parts to a dynomax(also spare). I had a set of the gt outlets off my 5.0, so I used it after the muffler. I want all new from the e6 to the tail pipes at least. And I want to use stinger stuff because its good and he's local. I have the flowmasters, but they will go back on the 5.0, so I will need a new muffler too. I would like to keep a bolt on cat that I can swap in an out, depending on what I'm doing.

Look at the V band clamps for the cat bolting in and out. You'll have to run a pipe to fill that gap as well, or run it open DP. I'm going to use a cut out pipe for mine once I get the rest of it lined out. Right now it's just an open down pipe.

Do you have a complete exhaust sans muffler deal for a 91? 7. What is a good muffler to run with a turbo? Thanks for your imput 1) To be honest, I'm not sure when it comes to the dealer installed A/C. I know my 91 had a long a/c compressor that wouldn't clear the header but the 87-90 version would (with a custom line to the evaporator). 2) Yes, Bob covered it well. Stock turbos do have a small gasket that may or may not cooperate when you rotate it. 3) We don't offer GT style tailpipes, though you can purchase them elsewhere. We "can" provide them but they are just tailpipes we buy from another company. 4) From our site: Optional Compact Magnaflow SPUN-CAT Upgrade A revolutionary new compact catalytic converter design for use in tight places. Utilizing new manufacturing techniques, each converter body is a single CNC-formed and laser-welded tubular section, which is then spun into a 4" round converter body shape. Spun-Cat available in round shape only. Functionally it's no different, it's just a compact cnc formed cat that is "pretty" and doesn't have a heat shield attached like the other units. 5) Yes, it functions the same. Our units crack open at 12psi and are fully open by about 16psi as provided. Other spring pressures are available all over the internet. Just make sure you order springs in the same diameter as the extra spring provided so they will work. 6) No, it's available individually as most people can't afford to order it all at once. Everything needed for a complete kit is available from the site though. 7) Magnaflow, Dynomax, or other "straight through" designs that you can see through and don't offer any internal restriction are what you want on a turbo car (no chambers like a flowmaster). For our systems, you need to make sure it's a Mustang style muffler (offset/offset) and not a straight muffler like a glasspack or bullet.

Is the header ceramic coated?

Hello stinger would u suggest using a high flow cat or just a straight exhaust with muffler?

Cat if you need to pass emissions testing, otherwise just a muffler.

You can get a stinger tail pipe and cut it shorter and put one of these on the end: www.summitracing.com/parts/SCH-3025/I run the Dynomax Ultra Flow, its straight through, not real loud, and has the closest to stock offset for good fitment. A straight through design is a must.
