I'm new to the forum, but want to know what the best thing to do to my 84 GT Turbo to get more power. Mods include FMIC, Bigger than stock turbonetics turbo, msd ignition, 8.8 rear end eibach lowering springs, sub frame connectors, boost controller, fuel pressure regulator ect.....
I'm thinking of doing an Esslinger 2270 Cam, Stinger FMIC kit, stinger down pipe and header.
What would be the best thing to do first I'm on a tight budget because I'm a 17 yr old student who works part time after school.
Just want some opinions
Thanks, Craig

Hey craig welcome.
It sounds like you've got the basics covered pretty well. I would be looking at a 255lph fuel pump and a new filter and your fuel sys would be done. This is the absolute first thing I do with any car before starting mods.
Which intercooler are you running currently? I ran the 2270 and now one of Boports big cams in a car I drive. If you don't have a good head yet I would consider looking at one of Boports 1.5-1.9 cams. I'm dropping back to that myself as soon as money permits.
You sort of want to think ahead. If you do a downpipe now and plan to do a stinger header you'll need the header downpipe then.
Now for some actual suggestions... 1st grab the fuel pump, install and crank the booooooost up. Depending on how much bigger than a T3 your turbo is, youre likely not even into the sweet spot where it can be efficient. Don't worry about moving the vam for now. set the boost at 15 for while...18 for longer....20 for even longer.....This will buy you some time. Me on the other hand...I'd go from 10psi-22 on the 1st day and be looking to mod without money. lol

Depends on a number of things, including the turbo, amount of fuel/air fuel ratio, fuel octane, timing settings, outside air temp, etc. There are some general guidelines in the FAQ section, otherwise you just turn it up a little at a time until it detonates a bit (rattles), then back it down about 2psi. When it warms up, you'll have to turn it down farther.
