Hello to all i am new here at the forum and i am building a 88 mustang with 88 turbo coupe engine. I am using a T3 turbo i purchased the fmic kit from stinger along with the 120 deg. rotated intake. I want to install a oil cooler on my turbo feed line i think it would be great for longevity since it's only oil cooled. Has anybody done this?

No, and I don't think it would be all that useful. The turbo is designed to be used without coolant (this doesn't mean it's oil cooled, the oil is for lubrication, not for cooling).

thanks stinger i am new at this and i always thought it was used for lubrication and cooling. what is the life on a t3 turbo if it's driven as a normal street car?

I've seen the stock turbo on cars that had over 200k miles on them...doesn't mean they will all last that long but it's certainly possible. Think how long those diesel's run down the highways with them...
Good oil, scheduled oil changes, and letting them cool down after a hard pull before shutting it down will certainly add to their reliability.

And use a synthetic oil. Synthetics hold up much better to higher oil temps, i.e....longer turbo life.
