Hey stinger, where can I find 1.5" clamps for the wastegate? I have it completely run, just need to tie in the flex connection. I can weld the wastegate side, but if I ever neev to remove the downpipe I need a removeable conn. All I can find is the u-bolt type. any tips?

I'm not aware of any exhaust clamps that small. All of the dump tubes I've seen are welded solid (with the flex tube inline) and unbolted at the wastegate when removal of the downpipe is necessary. I plan to use two of the 2 bolt flanges like those that bolt to the wastegate to make a connection I can unbolt at the downpipe. You can buy extra 2 bolt wg flanges from places like ATPTurbo.com

If it were mine I would spend $25 on a vband connection.

Where are there v-bands that small for $25 or for that matter, where can you get 1.5" v-bands period?

I know Verocious Motorsports sells the 38mm vband flanges, you can order direct or thru Amazon for around $10. Clamps sold separately...

After snapping the "stub pipe" off the collector on mine, I rewelded the flange directly to the collector, then welded a 90* fitting to another 2-bolt flange, and have flex pipe running off that 90 to the gate, which will be bolted to a 2-bolt flange on the downpipe.
This takes all the weight off the header, and has been very stable up to 18psi boost.

I can get the 2 eared wastegate flanges w/ gasket for about $20. I will weld the w/g side and flange at the downpipe. I would have never thought 1.5 was such a hard size to find. I might try a small engine shop or a bike place first though.

TIAL MVS flanges are 1.5", and the clamps are very nice. You will have 50$ in the assembly by the time you buy clamps and flanges (apparently 2" was what I bought last time I needed small vbands), but you will be thanking yourself the first time you take it apart.
