so im new to the 2.3 scene and the car has a freshly rebuilt engine from top to bottom (stock). my problem is when i get to about seventy mph the it sounds like the car is already wound out and wont go any faster... almost like its lagging? any suggestions?

It's not a Mercury, it's just a Merkur (Merkur is the brand like Ford, Lincoln, etc) and XR4Ti is the model (like Mustang, Thunderbird, etc.).
What's the rpm at 70mph when it seems "wound out"?

I'm not really sure how that's possible unless someone put some crazy gears in the rear end. It should be about 2800-3000 at 70mph.
Can you video this issue?
