Do you not have the factory ecu from 84? That would be the easiest way. If it's not available ther are a lot of options, in my opinion the PiMP is best. No MAF needed, no VAM needed, just a new ecu and a couple pin swaps on your factory harness, assuming you do have that part. Other options would be a later model turbo coupe or SVO ecu, harness, injectors and VAM. If you go that route the injectors and VAM need to be the correct size for the model year ecu you get.

There is no "easy" way to run a MAF. The cheap/easy setup that will work fine for moderate setups is just an ecu/vam/injectors from an 87-88 Turbo Coupe.

The safest way to go would be to use the ecu/injectors and the stock SVO air meter (I believe they all came with the large VAM). Then you can get it running and make sure everything is working correctly at moderate boost levels. After that if you're wanted to exceed the limits of the stock ecu and you have the money to do so, you can upgrade to a PiMP or something.

Your SVO should already have the same vam as the Turbo Coupe (3" in/out).
No, you can't tune it with the stock ecu.

You can't tune any stock ecu. You'll have to get a chip for a stock unit, or get an aftermarket ecu.

That's kind of a loaded question as it depends on your goals, tuning experience, available funds, and timeframe. Clearly I have a soft spot for our own PiMP ECU but it may not always be the best option.

Typically the best tuning option is one your tuner is familiar with. I'd ask them what they have experience with and then see if any of those options work on 2.3's.
