The "easy" fix is to get a 2.3 T5 for less than the cost of the adapter plate, then just bolt it on. The adapter plate and pilot bushing source can be found with a search on this forum or in google.

i ended up w/a tc bell and nothing else,if i cant find the hyd cyl/brkts and fork I`ll use a fork out of a 5.0 (I`ll mock it up to see if it fits cause i have one) then I`ll find a pic of a tc and see if I can make brackets to fit the cyl,---as for the pilot,I`m going to take the input shaft over to a freind who has a lathe and we`ll cut er down---then put er all together and see what happens--cant do too much burning rubber as the rear is still a 7 1/2 and noisey,,,one thing at a time

I don't know if I read every thing right but if you still going with the mustang t5 , turn the input shaft down and wait on eBay for a 2.3 bell housing . They show up now and then. or if u allready had a manual in the truck you could see if u could just get the bell housing bolt patten re drilled to match the tranny.
Just some ideas for you .
