I'm ready to upgrade the exhaust on my TC, want to run the stinger 3" dp and dual tailpipes with out mufflers. I couldn't find any post speaking to how that might sound, or the pros and cons of running such a system. kinda wanted to get a consensus from the more experienced on this subject before I make a purchase.

No reason to run no mufflers when you can get straight through mufflers that have zero back pressure such as Dynomax Ultra Flo. You will get a better sound and not loose any power compared to straight pipes. Plus it keeps the law from bothering you.

I agree, however we do sell the muffler delete pipes if you do want to go this route.

Yep, I've got a "Y" cutout on my 3" DP from Stinger and I had the cut out off a month ago and got ticketed for illegal exhaust, in the country no less... With a race bullet muffler on police never bother me, and I can't notice a real difference in performance. With the cutout open it's extremely loud, almost obnoxious!

When I had a cutout, I could reach it from the passenger side while on one knee and pull the cap off if I wanted to.

I was really hoping someone actually answered that ?. I have a cut out which is stupid loud and dyno max turbo series mufflers which are super quiet. I wanna know how straight press would sound before i weld in deletes and end up regretting it. Lol

You could always use our clamp on deletes and be able to go back to mufflers if you don't like it.

I have had a single 3" exhaust coming out right in front of the rear wheel on the driver side. It was the cheapest thing to do at the time and it was just way to loud. It actually kind of got annoying when driving or with windows down. Then i purchased a bullet muffler and added it to the end with just a clamp so i could remove it later on. It is still pretty loud though but its still not my type. Thats just my 2 cents

I am running 3'' single exhaust all the way out the back running a BORLA XS PRO and it is nice and quiet to me... I tried the muffler delete and as stated above it gets really annoying after awhile, it really wasn't much quieter than the 40 series flowmaster I started with not to mention the extra attention from the local sheriffs department who really seem to get rather testy about it for some reason... idk... I use to like flowmaster but not so much anymore.... I used band clamps for the whole exhaust.. which makes working on it and or making changes much easier that way you have options
