I took mine off when I switched to the E6 exhaust manifold, I haven't had any problems related to removing it...

Is blocking off the egr an advantage to the performance of the motor? I just started working on my motor this weekend and I am starting to feel a little overwhelmed, but i believe that with a little bit of patience and time, I will make some decent headway. lookin forward to having this motor in my car.
Quick side question: am I going to have trouble putting this motor into a 5.0 LX if i just go and by new motor mounts for the 2.3 from autozone or is there a difference between the k-members in these cars?

Not particularly a performance advantage, the EGR is closed at wide open throttle.
K members are the same.
