Would it be better to run the .030 over piston with a half fill block? or .030 would just be fine?

I'd run .020 over without a fill, .030 "could" be OK without a fill but I'd do a half fill if at all possible. We saw a guy at the "Largest 2.3T Race" last month split his .030" block in the #3 cylinder while only running 12's.

Im asking because one of my piston skirt broke! and i dont think a .020 over would be enough to fix. or i guess i can use one of my empty block with my crower rods and .010 over Cp pistons.

It's rare that .010 will clean up the bores, even in a running shortblock.
