Hi,
My 84 RS Turbo was pretty stripped when I got her, no engine, transmission or exhaust.
I've pieced together the engine and transmission (including a dual-hump cross member) and I'm now looking at the exhaust.
First question, was there a 'mid pipe' support bracket on the transmission mount on this car?
Where does the stock exhaust hang from? I can't find pictures of an original system to see what I'm missing there.
If I buy the full system you guys sell what do I need to hang it? Pictures on the site don't show any hangers welded to the pipes or mufflers.
If anyone has pictures of the various hangers and brackets I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
Chris

There is a factory hanger at the trans tailshaft/crossmember. It's not mandatory unless you're running a cat though. The other hanger goes at the back of the muffler/start of the tailpipe. There is a place on the chassis that the hanger bolts to, then the other end is welded to the pipe/muffler. Latemodelrestoration.com sells all the factory hangers. Our pipes don't come with hangers, it is intended to re-use the stock hangers, or use universal hangers.
