You'll notice on the site listing for the line it says this regarding use on aftermarket "stock location" manifolds: "Fitment with log or aftermarket "stock location" manifolds isn't guaranteed." This is because these aftermarket manifolds aren't actually stock location, they are typically 1/4-1/2" different than stock. With that said, the alignment of your line looks good and the manifold/line combo on your setup doesn't appear to be a problem. With that said, once the line kinks, it's typically ruined and no amount of adjusting the fittings will fix it because it's already been compromised and will easily kink from now on. The kink in your line is angled and not straight up and down which indicates the initial kink was most likely from the line twisting when tightening it down and not from the bend it's installed at. It can safely bend 45 degrees without kinking if it's not twisted or previously kinked. The skinny brass colored nut on the block end of the line is to hold the line from twisting while tightening (or loosening) the block fitting. Both the angled kink, and the brass nut for preventing it can be seen in this pic: With that said, if you remove the line and look inside the straight end while holding it bent at the same angle as the braid is at when installed, you can see how far the internal teflon liner protrudes into the flow path. If it's more than 1/3 obstructed, you'll need a new line (just the line, not the expensive fittings). If it's not more than 1/3 obstructed, it will most likely work as-is. Regarding the downpipe (actually a 3" down elbow it sounds like), I'm not completely clear on what you are saying. It sounds like you're saying the wastegate flapper doesn't line up with the internal wastegate hole in the turbo? Even then, it should still be larger than the hole and therefore not be able to "catch" on the edge so I'm not convinced this is what you mean. If the wastegate flapper moves freely when not installed on the turbo, the elbow itself is fine. I'll need more clarification on what is happening to offer up a solution.

On the three inch down elbow , once the flapper is shut it lines up and looks pretty evenly lined up all the way around the waste gate hole in the turbo . When i close it , the disc or flapper , just catches the very edge of the hole in the turbo .
Thanks for you help on the drain line , I know what it said when I ordered it , I was having a hard time getting the fittings to line up and when they finally lined up I didn't realise that I might have kinked the line tightening them up . This is no attempt to tell that you make an inferior product , just needed a solution to my problem .

If you want a new line (minus fittings) to replace the kinked one (if you find it's more than 1/3 obstructed or causes smoke from the turbo), let me know, they are relatively cheap.
Looks like the turbo exhaust housing had a "core shift" issue where the wastegate hole isn't quite where it should be (centered with the wastegate flapper). Since the elbow uses a factory Ford core that worked fine for 30+ years (which the turbo is supposed to be built to match), we know it's not the elbow that's got the WG in the wrong location.
I think the easiest solution would be to drill out the mounting holes in the elbow a size or two larger to allow you to slide the elbow over slightly to line up with the WG hole in the turbo. Should be a simple and free fix.
