Im so close to starting her up but i ran into a problem with the turbo housing hitting the header tube. I read through this forum before I ever even tried putting it all together so I knew I would need a half inch spacer. Evan with the spacer im still having this problem. It goes on fine with the outlet at 1 oclock but Im pretty sure the hood wouldn't close with a 90 degree coupling in there plus the fmic tubing doesn't line up. so i need it at about 9 or 10 oclock. Do I need a smaller housing? If so where do I get one?

Hmm...that's an interesting one. Can you gain any clearance via the slack in the size of the mounting holes in the turbo vs the size of the mounting studs (loosen nuts, push rearward)? Not sure why that housing seems to have less clearance than most.
I can't tell in the pics exactly how much more clearance you need to get the outlet towards the 10 o'clock position but some could be gained with another spacer added in.

i haven't tightened the nuts on the turbo studs yet so i can move it, still no clearance. So it would be ok to put another spacer in? If i put another spacer in would i need to put like three gaskets in?

You'll either need to weld the two spacers together, use 3 gaskets, or if the surfaces are machined flat, you should be able to use some high temp rtv to seal them.

I remember when I had a stinger header and a holset I had a stack of 3 spacers to gain enough clearance. worked though.

I have the Chinese version of this header so yours may or may not be different... What I did was used the 1/2 in spacer using 2 gaskets extra long turbo studs.. Then I heated up the number one primary with a rosebud and gently massaged it with a body hammer then let it cool off in stages to prevent cracking.. I got mine clocked to about the 11:00 position... Hope this helps
