I have a 88 tbird with a lot of work. I recently had a 2nd fuel pump and a spal fan put in. the guy who did the work ran a seperate relay for both. The fan aslo has a manual switch. I noticed when i turn the key on engine of the fuel pump on the frame runs. I checked and noticed both relays (fuel pump) (fan) have a little wire coming out going to my coil wire. Is that right? Where can i move them to? Are they just for key on power?

You'll have to look and see what "number" on the relay they are going on to know for sure. Most likely it is for key on power though.

85 and 86 are coil pins so they have the power wire going to it. Matt C. needs to come in here, he's the relay master. Matt, is he getting a "key on" signal from the coil or pulling 12v from the coil?

If its on the positive side of the coil its just a key on power...it should work as any other key on voltage source. Personally I think its a terrible idea as there are many other power sources that wont add amps to your ignition circuit

they are key on power. Where would be the best place to run them?

...sorry we work alot and get to the forum as we can...
first I would wire the FP relay to work off of the same wire as the control side for the factory fuel pump relay. This groups the fuel system control together and makes a diagnostic waaay easier if you ever have a problem.
I would likely grab a Key on power wire from under the dash to your switch, then run from the switch out to your relay, then to ground.
