If i'm posting in the wrong section please move this thread thank you. Ok now thats out of the way, in my intro in the bs section i mentioned i was working on a 93 notch ssp. Well after coming across this website, i havent been able to think straight or do any of my work properly ;D. I have now come to the conclusion that maybe i should go for the 2.3 turbo option in this car instead of a 351w. My question is how hard is it to install a 2.3t engine into a car thats a 5.0 with a 5spd. I have the following items but HAVE NOT installed due to the fact i'm having a shop built to do all the work, items are as follow. 1. SN95 brake upgrade front and rear with spindles and lower control arms. 2. Front and rear coilover springs and Tokico 5 way adj shocks. 3. Rear MM upper and lower control arms. 4. 1994 Mustang cobra wheels plus tyres. 5. Misc interior items incl seats, sound deading material, stereo equip, trunk trim etc etc.
I've looked around but i didnt see a write up so i'm guessing its about the same procedure as the 87-93 write up. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and everybody is welcomed to chime in. While i'm at it, i'm wondering if anyone has done a 6spd behind a turbo motor if not how would it drive?

well There isn't anything on your list that has anything to do with swapping to a 2.3 so you could easily go ahead with all of that. The only thing is spring rate on the front may be a little bit of an issue.
The only issue between a 5.0-2.3 swap is the fuel lines will be on the wrong side...not a major deal but thats about it.
You dont have to have any pics of this ssp car do you? what state was it?

No i'm afraid no pics as of yet, it use to be a Florida hwy patrol car, dash has some holes cut it for radar equip, no biggie i have a replacement dash yet to go in it. I was thinking of the spring rates when i was submitting this thread, any ideas as to what rates maybe i should go with, also you mentioned fuel lines what should be done about that?

What are you trying to do with the car? daily driver, corner carver, drag racer, street/strip.... The Black coupe has 110lb springs but I cant remember length...which is important.
I'm not sure what a good fix with the fuel lines would be. I'll think about that when I'm more awake and I'll reply later.

for the fuel lines i have the answer! I have a complete fuel system with connectors for pump and 2.3 fuel rail, also has fuel filter, bracket, and connectors plus 25 feet of plastic line and mounting clamps. i bought it for 170.00 for my swap but i have sold my v8 and have a running 2.3 that my new motor and turbo are going in so i dont need it any more. so for 170 and shiping you can have it.
