stock intercooler blow off valve install

I have a turbocoupe intercooler on my svo and i bought a coupler and blow off valve that goes in between the intercooler and throttle body.  I will only mount towards the rear of the engine bay or on top of the oil cap so i can can close the hood.  Do i have to use a t-bird valve cover?  can i extend the 1 inch hose to mount elsewhere?

You can extend the 1" hose to bend to another location if you prefer. You can also shorten the 1" hose if it helps with hood clearance when facing forward or rearward.
