Ok today I fixed a exaust leak, checked plugs, (like brand new gapped .030) Timing set at 10. After I got done I took the car for a ride, ran good. Came home about a hour later I got in the car and when i went to eccelerate it started stumbling, arf going crazy lean. Once i get past 3000 rpm it takes of great. Then after a while the car dies. I start the car and it wont stay running. If i hold my foot to the floor i will rev die rev die ect with slight backfiring. Then runs fine for a few minutes. Then the issues come back. When it does this the car will not move it will die the minute i try to accelerate. I ran codes and got 65,14,41,42,63,65.I have all new ford ignition parts. I also noticed that when the car is running if i unplug the tps it does not change idle.

I forgot to mention that it runs super rich at idle (smoke) when it has these issues. Also does anyone know the voltage with key on on a stock vane air flow from a 1988 tbird turbo coupe. Thanks.

Hey I found my problem. It was a damaged air filter. It is weird, I have a mass air conversion. Well When i took the filter of i still had the problem, till I cleared codes. I put the filter back on same issues, pull it of same issues, clear codes and fixed. I did this three times and all were the same. Wich is telling me that when the the mass air signal gets way wacked it will go into some kind of default mode. Even if you fix the problem it will not recognize. until you clear codes and there may not even be one. Thanks
