Hi. I bought back my 84 SVO a few months ago. The new/old owner replaced the turbo and I need to know where the vacumn lines go. I found a vacumn line coming off of the boost control that looks like it goes to a connection in the pass side fender. Does anyone have stock SVO pictures? Also, this car still had the crappy old gas in it. I put some fuel injector cleaner in it and some 94 octane (about 6 gallons). We got the car to start (tfi) and to idle, but egr valve does not appear to be functional and there are concerns about the fuel pressure regulator. Our line of thinking: 1. New fuel filter. While I am uncoupling the old one, should I turn the key on and have the pump drain the tank into a container? 2. Find a new/working egr valve (that is why I am here -suggestions) 3. Find new fuel pressure regulator. PO snapped off hard plastic line, now hard line is clamped inside of length of vacumn style tubing. Thanks. Andrew

It may be easier for you to provide a pic of what lines you're working with and I'll tell you where they go.
I would drain the fuel.
EGR function isn't required to run correctly, I wouldn't bother with it for now...you can even unhook the vac line going to it.
The fuel pressure regulator bolts to the rail. I think you are referring to the line pulse dampner that connects to the inlet of the fuel rail between the rail and fuel line. If so, you can remove it and run the stock fuel line directly to the rail.
