I have a question regarding the use of the PiMP ecu with a 94 Mustang GT. The 94 uses a CCRM (Constant Control Relay Module) to control both the fuel pump and the 2 speed electric fan. The instructions a friend sent me for the PiMP state that the 2 speed fan settings can not be used for a V8 install. That part I can work around since the car rarely sees the high speed part of the fan turn on since the A/C is no longer installed. My question is with the pin out for the fan. The instructions say pin 55 is used for the primary/low fan. I am going from memory but I seem to remember the low speed fan pin out as #28 on the 94 Ford ECU. If that is the case, does the pin need to be moved or will the CCRM work in conjunction with the PiMP right out of the box? I am getting close to ordering the Pimp and am just trying to get all of my ducks in a row. Thanks.

In your case with a V8, only pin 55 at the ECU can be used to trigger the fan. The CCRM doesn't change this as it's just a box with relays inside. The trigger wire still goes to the ECU. In the 94 Mustang diagram I have, pin 55 is labeled "LFC" which I would take to mean low fan control. Pin 54 is WAC which I believe is the high fan for the AC. Regardless, you'll need to verify and move the fan pin to location 55 if that's not where it is already. The CCRM does effect how you trigger the fan on/off with the software but that's a minor detail.

Thanks for that. I was at work and did not have access to the Ford EVTM that I have in my shop. I'll check tomorrow to confirm. On a different note. what lead time can I expect right now when ordering the PiMP? I follow you on facebook and it looks like you're sending them out pretty regularly.

I think we're down to 2-3 weeks delay currently, if things keep up like they have lately (shipping batches on a 10-14 day average).

Very cool, thank you. Last question for now. When ordering under cam specs what info are you looking for. The cam manufacturer and part # or possibly the lift/duration/overlap ?
BTW, you were right about pin 55. I looked in the Ford EVTM and sure enough pin 55 is the low speed fan. The pin I was thinking of but could remember off the top of my head was pin 32 for the high speed fan. Just figured I'd add that to this thread in case anyone else down the line wanted to know the pin number for the high speed side. I'll wire in a couple of relay and a toggle switch if I ever find the need to wire the high speed fan circuit. As it is now, the low speed fan is like a tornado all by itself.

Lift and duration at .050 is really all we need.

Well, it took me a while to finally get around to it but I placed the order the day before yesterday. Really looking forward to getting this and getting the car back on the road. I ordered a LC-2 wide band to go along with the Stinger ECU, no gauge. Shouldn't be a problem?

Nope, without a gauge is fine. You got the last one on the shelf so your timing was impeccable. It will ship early next week.
