Hey everybody! I have a pretty much stock 87 turbo coupe. The only mods is a k&n cone filter and a gillis boost valve. The problem is for the past month ive been had problems. my boost gauge reads 15 psi uder boost but it doesnt feel like im getting much boost at all (Very spotty boost). Ive checked all the hoses and fittings and cuplers everything is fine, Turbo does leak oil from return flange (always have) but i just started getting oil seeping from around the T-bolt treads. I also checked the wheel for play, no play and it spined freely. I dont have any smoke coming from the exhaust. I do noticed a very krazy idle, rpm bumps up and down every minute for about the first 5 minutes of a cold start up then after warm the car settles a about 1000 rpm. Today I ran codes and i got these: KOEO 24 34 54 74 77 continueous: same codes KOER: the same codes except code 23. I just did a tune up on the car 3 days ago. I dont know whats going on i know i have a lot of codes but which one would my car act like it is. I would appreciate any help im gettin smoked by any and everything on take off and it very emberrasing. :'(Thank you.

sounds like you have a bad act sensor. 24 and 54 both refer to act sensor. 34 74 and 77 can just be there because you didnt do goose test. I just went through the same thing. Bad act sensor. THe only code i was getting was 54. ANd it would keep the check engine light on all the time.

Along with what was said, if you also follow the "setting base idle" procedure in our tech articles section then your crazy idle problem should be fixed.
When you did your tuneup, what brand of plugs and wires did you use and what was the spark plug gap?

That should work, replace the act, do the base idle stuff mentioned above, verify timing is correct (both ignition and cam timing how-to info is also listed in our tech articles), and report back.

Ok I replaced the ACT sensor, still the same problem. When adusting the TPS I found that it is bad (cant get over .27v). I also Just found oil in the bottom part of the intake. What does that mean? Than you guys for the help.

Replace tps, re-do base idle procedure, don't worry too much about the oil, it is typical of 2.3T's with stock PCV systems. You could replace the PCV valve with a new MOTORCRAFT unit and it may fix/lessen the issue.
