Hey I might order the Thunderbird 2.5" Tailpipes alum this week and was just wondering if they are in stock?
Also I wanted to switch over to these "Torctite Polished Stainless Steel Exhaust Clamps" but im not using them. Can you switch over to them after using the U Bolt's?

Yes, in stock.
No, once you use U bolts, the parts of your exhaust system that's been U-bolt clamped is essentially ruined if you ever remove it (at least if they have been tightened far enough to seal which distorts the pipe). Once the inner and outer pipe in the slip joint is distorted, it won't come apart without cutting (or further distorting the pipe) and once it's distorted, it won't seal when using a Torctite. This is why I push the Torctites...for the extra $30-$40 in clamps, it makes the exhaust parts removable without cutting for life and also allows you to replace any single piece if it gets damaged by running something over, hitting a speed bump too fast, etc.

I know I asked months ago but I should be putting a order for these tails in this Friday..you guys still have the aluminum and stainless pipes in stock?

Not to keep bumping this old ass thread but quick question. I ordered stainless tails on Friday for my turbo coupe. Did I read it right when it says
"Two piece design of Thunderbird tails enhances fit while allowing for the option of a stainless steel tip."
Would that mean I need a total of 4 Torctite clamps or 2 clamps for the tails to the mufflers?

4 clamps, two to connect to the mufflers, two to connect front section to rear section.
