I didn't like how the coolant lines in the factory configuration run beside the valve cover and are not only visible but also get in the way of changing spark plugs, removing the valve cover, removing the head, etc. They were always in the way (and ugly) so I decided they needed fixed. If I didn't plan on using the heater, I would have just deleted them but since it gets way too cold here for that, I had to keep them. While I had the head off and the lines were easy to access, I starting mocking them up to see the best way to fix the problem. Here you can see the initial progress after two cuts. The pipe running from the front of the engine is a Merkur coolant pipe that seemed to fit what I was needing: Bottom pipe finish welded, top pipe being mocked up: Lengthened the top pipe: Picture of them removed for paint: Primed and Painted: Upper hose cut and rotated to fit: Hidden under the header after everything is installed:

Looks great. Are there multiple "styles" of hard lines? My bottom hard line loops up and over the A/C bracket. Is there one that goes under the bracket or maybe one that was made for A/C delete?

As far as I know there is the early style that loops out and then goes under the manifold, then there is the later style that runs along the side of the valve cover. These are available with and without the turbo cooling fitting.
