Well the debates are over for me about trans and rear options. I scrapped the A4LD and swapped to a 5 speed the other day and yesterday i swapped my 7.5" rear for an 8.8" with 1998 mustang 10" discs. I also replaced the axle bushings and swapped in my boxed control arms. I weighed the parts and it seems the swap saved 60lbs and 10 lbs off the driveshaft alone. I will track test it soon and post results. Then i will swap my holset and retest. I am running 18psi right now and i feel confident it will run high 12's. Any ideas on how much more power i will make with the holset at say 18psi and 23-25psi?

Without more fuel you'll be limited on the amount of boost you can run with the Holset. At the same boost it should pick up maybe 30-40hp. Typically an unported/stock cam 2.3 gains 5-7hp per psi so you can use that to see where you would be with more boost.
